Cyber Essentials is the government-backed scheme that shows customers, insurers and suppliers you have the basics of cyber security in place. We help Warrington and Cheshire businesses get ready for it, fix what needs fixing and get through the assessment.
More and more contracts ask for Cyber Essentials, especially in the public sector and in supply chains for larger firms. It is a self-assessment checked by a certification body, and it looks at five areas.
Your internet connection and devices are protected from outside access.
Default passwords and settings are changed, and unused software is removed.
People only have the access they need, and admin accounts are kept separate.
Every device has up-to-date protection against malware.
Operating systems and software are patched on time.
Plus uses the same five controls and adds a hands-on technical test of your systems.
We look at your devices, accounts, Microsoft 365, firewall and patching, then give you a plain-English list of what passes, what does not and what it will take to fix.
We put the missing pieces in place: multi-factor authentication, patching, endpoint protection, separate admin accounts and firewall settings.
We help you answer the questionnaire accurately and stay with you through the assessment.
On a managed plan, we keep the controls in place all year so renewal is not a scramble.

No. Certificates are issued by IASME-licensed certification bodies. We get you ready and help you through the process.
It depends on how much needs fixing. Some firms are close already; others need a few weeks of work on accounts, devices and updates first.
Cyber Essentials guidance is part of our Premium plan (£89 per user per month). On Standard (£59) or ad-hoc (£95 an hour), we quote readiness work up front. All prices exclude VAT.
We help with Plus as well. It needs the same controls plus a technical test, so the preparation is similar but has to be more thorough.
A lot of the businesses we support in places like Ellesmere Port, Macclesfield and Wilmslow are asked about cyber security by their customers or insurers. Cyber Essentials gives you one clear answer to those questions, and the work behind it removes the most common ways small businesses get caught out.
